How do I book an event, a party, or start planning my wedding?

Start by filling in your contact information with the date of your event or wedding.

What if I need to cancel?

Megabites Catering can apply your deposit to another event. We’re considerate and kind people here at Megabites Catering. We understand things happen and will work with you the best we can. 

What is the minimum number of people needed for an event, a party, or a wedding?

The Megabites Food Trailer has a minimum of 75-100 people to be booked for any private or public event that is not being paid in full by a host. The Megabites Food Trailer can do smaller events under this minimum for a custom charge. Please inquire here for specific pricing details.

There is currently no minimum number of people for catered events at off-site or on-site events at the Bridge Walk. Please inquire about pricing for events less than 40 people - additional charges may apply.

How do I hire a food truck for my party, event, or wedding?

The first thing you want to do is figure out who will be expected to pay the $2,000 minimum charge. You could:

  • Host an event and pay for everyone's food. This would be a $2,000 minimum charge for you.

    OR

  • Hold a private or public event and have each person pay individually for their food orders. We require a 75-100 person minimum to book a private or public event. The private event management or the public event management is required to pay a $2,000 minimum charge if the Megabites food truck doesn't reach this minimum through individual food sales.

    Example: The Megabites Food Trailer ends up making $1560 at the end of the event. The private or public event management would pay the difference of $440 to meet the minimum $2,000 charge. Click here to book The Megabites Food Trailer now.

Do I have to pay for the food truck to come to my party, event, or wedding?


The Megabites Food Truck requires a $2,000 minimum charge. This charge is expected to be paid by the host, individual paying customers, or the event management.

Why does the Megabites Food Trailer require a $2,000 minimum charge to book a party, event, or wedding?

Every respectable food truck business model has a minimum charge in place. It ensures the food truck is available and stays in business to be at your event. The minimum charge ensures food, travel, and labor costs are covered.


Other possible costs that are covered by the $2,000 minimum charge are food trailer space rental, electricity, and water charges, event fee charges, overnight security fees, municipality fees... and the list continues to grow.


This minimum coverage also ensures our business makes a percentage of revenue to keep bringing you delicious food and the best service at all of your events.

Can I purchase decorations and decorate the food truck?

Absolutely. We encourage you to – let us know where we can assist.

Are there any permits I need to get?

  • You will need to purchase additional insurance for any event, party, or wedding held on private property. 

  • No additional insurance is needed if you rent The Bridge Walk Venue. 

  • Megabites Catering attains all permits (municipal) for all Food Truck Bookings. Fees are included with your Food Truck booking price.

When am I billed for the Food Truck?

  • Megabites Catering will need payment in full 10 days prior to your event, party, or wedding the Food Truck is booked for.

  • On-location food sales bookings –– such as at a business or for a larger community event –– guests may pay at the time of purchase.

What is the maximum number of people for an event, a party, or a wedding?

Megabites Catering is housed out of the Bridge Walk at Perthshire venue. We also partner with the Brill Manor venue. 

  • The Bridge Walk at Perthshire is our home venue site and it can accommodate up to 500 people.

  • The Brill Manor is an off-site venue that can accommodate up to 120 people. 

  • Off-site Megabites Catering has no maximum number of people, but your location may.

When do you need to know our final count for my event, party, or wedding?

We need to know your final count 10 days prior to your event.

When is my total bill due?

Your full payment is due 10 days prior to your event.

Do you offer rentable items?

Yes. While we don’t rent the items ourselves we can work with the rental company on your behalf. The Megabites Catering team is able to assist you with all your rental needs, including place settings. Chairs, chair covers, napkins, and table linens start the large list of items we can help you rent with ease for your event, party, or wedding. We also offer a purchasable package of high-grade disposable items.

Do you offer table linens, chair covers, place settings, and napkins?

  • When you book The Bridge Walk at Perthshire, table linens, chair covers, place settings, and napkins are all included in your venue fee.

  • When you book at The Brill Manor and other off-site locations, we can assist you with all of your rental needs. We aim to make it easy for you by taking care of all the details.

Do I have to pay full price for children?

No. Megabites Catering offers custom pricing for children.

What type of upscale service styles do you offer?

At Megabites Catering we’re happy to meet your upscale service needs for your party, event, or wedding. Popular choices include:

  • Plated table service

  • Buffet Service

  • Family style service 

Hand-passed appetizer and cocktail reception service are also popular services that up the elegance at any event, party, or wedding.

How do your event and wedding staff dress?

Megabites Catering requires all staff to dress in black tie or in black dress elegant for events and weddings.

Am I expected to tip the wait staff?

Tipping is not required, but gratuity for exceptional service is always appreciated.

How far will you travel to cater an event, party, or wedding?

Megabites Catering will travel up to two hours with no additional travel fee. Anything beyond that and a travel fee will be added to your invoice.

Is there a corkage fee or cake-cutting fee?

No.

Do you provide wine or liquor in your events, party, or wedding packages?

Megabites Catering offers separate bar packages to choose from for purchase.

Do you offer menu tastings?

Yes. Megabites Catering offers menu tastings for a fee. 

Do you take last-minute bookings for events, parties, or weddings?

Absolutely. Contact us with your details quickly and easily here. We have a 24-hour response turnaround time on emails. Or give us a call at 518-866-4225. We’re happy to help you and your guests due to untimely circumstances.

Can you do a themed decoration for my event, party, or wedding?

Megabites Catering will coordinate all displays to go with your theme and will assist you with decorating needs. We love to take the lead and help you enjoy your event.

Can you do a themed menu to go with my event?

Yes. Megabites Catering can customize any type of menu for you. We take pride in providing fun, fresh, and inspiring menus.

Can I have a full bar at my off-site event, party, or wedding?

Yes. Per New York State Liquor Authority’s (NYSLA) mandate – all alcohol has to be provided by Megabites Catering, and no outside alcohol is permitted at the event, party, or wedding.

Does Megabites Catering offer a food drop-off service?

Yes. You can pick up your order at 112 Perthshire Dr. OR we offer a drop-off service. A fee of $35 applies to all orders within 30 miles of our location. If you’re over 30 miles from us, a fee based on mileage will be added to your account.

FOOD TRUCK PARKING & SETUP

What are the Megabites Catering Food Truck parking requirements?

The Megabites Catering Food Trailer needs a 10’ x 15’ area to rest in. Also, an additional area for the hauling truck to park after the trailer is unhooked is needed.

Can you park in my backyard?

Yes. The Megabites Food trailer can park in your backyard as long as the area is level and we will not get stuck and sink in the mud.

Can you pull up to my garage?

No. The Megabites Catering Food Trailer will not fit in a standard garage. It also needs to be 50 ft. from a house or garage.

Can you park on the street in front of my house?

Yes. The Megabites Catering Food Trailer can serve anywhere on the street with prior approval from the city or town. Megabites Catering takes care of all permits where needed.

What if it rains the day of my event, party, or wedding?

Megabites Catering will set up a tent. We are always prepared with a tent on hand.

Are there any fees I need to pay when I book the Megabites Catering Food Truck?

A travel fee will be assessed if needed. Other possible charges include an additional insurance fee.

Are there limits on where the Megabites Food Truck can serve food?

No. However, Albany County requires additional permits to operate.

Do you offer gluten-free options?

Yes. Megabites Catering can customize your menu to be all gluten-free or have specific gluten-free items.

Can you offer a vegan menu?

Yes. Megabites Catering is a big fan of VEGAN! We can do all vegan or some vegan options. Vegetarian menus or options are also available. Vegan, vegetarian, plant-based, flexitarian – we are on board with all your dietary needs and happy to accommodate you.

Can you make a menu based on food allergies?

Yes. The Megabites Catering kitchens are very careful with cross-contamination. We can accommodate any and all allergy needs.

Do you offer menu ideas and custom menus?

Yes. At Megabites Catering, we LOVE customizing menus and making your event feel unique and special. We are full of fun menu ideas that are fresh and tasty.
